Strickland Ranch & Exports sends Florida Cattle and Horses to Belize

A cattle and citrus producer from the area of Big Creek, Belize, just received these beautiful "A Beef" heifers and bulls from Adam's Ranch of Fort Pierce, Florida and several nice Quarter Horses mares from Barthles Brother's Ranch in Dade City, Florida.  They started looking at the A Beef composite cattle at Adam's Ranch late last year and wanted to purchase some bred heifers and bulls to raise at his farm in Belize.  We just shipped part of his shipment from the Port of Mobile, Alabama last week and will be shipping another load shortly when the ship returns.

Sale day at Strickland Ranch with a fine cow crew.  We shipped some of our calves out to Texas Aug. 12th and it was a hot Florida day!  James Scott is showing off his new tattoo left by one a heifer that gave him a "roll" and bruised some ribs.  Sorry James!  You must not have whispered the right words in her ear!!!

Recently, a photograph taken by Sarasota photographer, Jimmy Peters, of Renee' Strickland working her cracker cows was presented to the Governor of Florida, Mr. Charlie Christ, as a wedding present on December 9th by the members of the Florida Cabinet, (Commissioner of Agriculture, Mr. Charles Bronson; Commissioner of Finance, Mrs. Alex Sink and Attorney General Bill McCollum .)  This photograph was one of 44 pictures taken by Mr. Peters of various ranches in Florida and currently on display in the capitol in Tallahassee, Florida.  For more information on "cracker cattle", see our webpage.
